Our policy at Combe Road is that prevention is better than cure. We really care about oral health, so we aim to keep your teeth and gums strong and healthy and avoid the need for fillings and other treatment.

New Evening Surgery!

Lets face it, we're all busy people and sometimes appointments during the day aren't ideal. That's why we've expanded our team to allow us to offer more evening appointments. We are now opening late Monday to Thursday with some appointments available up until 9pm

As we place a strong emphasis on preventative dentistry, we believe it vital to see children from the earliest age to ensure that they grow up with healthy teeth and gums. To support this we offer FREE appointments to develop Personal Prevention Plans to stop problems before they arise.

Of course, sometimes you will need more than routine dental check-ups. The dentists and staff at Combe Road can offer you comprehensive dental care in a friendly and relaxed environment. We have a wide range of services ranging from dedicated (and free) oral health care appointments, to more advanced oral surgery - including cosmetics and implants. And if you're a nervous patient, we can carry out your treatment with sedation.

Your first visit

Our friendly staff will welcome you on your first visit to the practice. Pre check-up nerves are common, but we aim to do all we can to make you feel at ease by discussing any concerns you have.

Check up appointment

We ask all new patients to fill in a confidential medical history form. During your check-up your dentist will make a thorough examination of your mouth to assess the condition of your teeth and gums.Usually, this will include several X-rays to ensure we catch any problems that cannot be seen by just visual examination.

We will always discuss your treatment plan discussed with you, and will give you a written estimate of what you need and how much it will cost.

At Combe Road we believe that prevention is better than cure, so all our patients will be offered free of charge an appointment with one of our specially qualified oral health educators who will give you advice on how to improve your oral heath and reduce the need for dental treatment in the future.

Payment Options

You can pay as you go, and we accept most major credit and debit cards. Alternatively, we offer a number of capitation schemes that enable you to spread the cost of routine treatment across the year. If you do need major treatment, or want to treat yourself to a comprehensive cosmetic make over, then we can offer a finance package, free of interest over 12 months or at highly competitive rates over a longer term.

IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM TOOTHACHE

We try to see any patient suffering from dental pain within 24 hours and do all we can to relieve immediate pain.

Out of Hours Emergencies

We provide an out-of-hours emergency service for our patients through an emergency rota of local dentists available between 6.00 pm and 9.00 pm weekdays and 9.00 am to 9.00 pm at weekends.

Please note that this service is only available to patients of the dentists on the rota. To contact the emergency dentist please call 07757 646707. There is a call out charge of £150, which includes basic treatment. Please tell the dentist if you are a member of Denplan or any similar insurance scheme. Alternatively, emergency treatment may be available from NHS Direct on 0845 1206680.
